In Search of the Dragon

Dedicated to

Oak Spirit Sanctuary

Many moons before this,

In my youthful days I cried,

Knowing well until man would love the Earth,

He’d ne’re in peace abide.

So I learned the way to honor

From the days of ancient lore.

But in all the ways I lived my days,

It seemed I  needed more.

So I went in search of the dragon,

For the Spirit of the Land.

I left my heart behind there,

And now I’m bound to the land.

From the early morning sunrise,

’Til the evening whippoorwill,

On a starlit night, every season bright,

The Land is with me still.

Yes, I went in search of the dragon,

For the Spirit of the Land.

I left my heart behind there,

And now I’m bound to the land.
